Painting Roses in bloom
as a residue dawn on earth,
symbol of love and overcoming misery,
by Wieslaw Sadurski
Rose, especially white, from ancient times is seen as a symbol of mystery and virginity,
purity and innocence,
as a sign of honor, secrecy, loyalty and new beginnings.
Ancient legends describe the origin of the rose as a residue dawn on earth.
Nightingale loved the white rose, but hurt himself with thorn and the blood stained the rose in red.
With rose is also associated idea of pain - there is no rose without thorns - and impermanence and death,
due to the fragility and weakness of its petals.
Flower surrounded by thorns became a sign of love and overcoming adversity.
