Apple flowers bloom in Paintings
All these Paintings are digital in their nature - available on Art Canvas Prints by Wiesław Sadurski.
Summer 1944 in eastern Poland, I was awakened by shooting at dawn.
- Sleep, son - said the father - the German soldiers are running away.
The gunshots died down, and in the gusty wind there was a knocking on the window;
it was a branch of an apple-tree blossoming white that struck the glass.
I think I made a basic life choice this morning!
Now the apple blossoms with the stars banter
- which one I love the most.
I paint them, I love them all!
In ancient Greece, throwing an apple at someone is a declaration of love. To catch an apple means to accept love.
In Greek tales nymphs have Hesperides' apple orchards; their golden apples give eternal life.
One of Heracles' works was to find these apples.
Goddess of disharmony Eris was not invited to the wedding party; in retaliation, she threw a golden apple with the words "For the most beautiful" at the wedding.
Three goddesses wanted it: Hera, Athena and Aphrodite. Paris had a choice between them.
Aphrodite tempted him into Helena, the most beautiful woman in the world; Paris admitted her the apple, which sparked the Trojan War.
I prefer painting apple blossoms more than communicating about it.
This delicacy and light-hearted power, visible in the flowers up close, is exploratory and wonderful in the process of painting,
gives the painter a beautiful reward for creative effort.
In Avalon, an apple tree grows, which has flowers and fruits at the same time. An apple from this tree provide immortality.
In Celtic tales the apple tree gives shelter to the souls of dead.
A priest was fond of the girl and unfortunately, having the soul of the poet, compared her breasts to apples. In the mythology of Christianity, then, apple means sin.
Many girls and women were burned on piles so that the faith would be hot and lead straight to heaven.
In the story of Adam and Eve the apple has become a symbol of knowledge, immortality, temptation, and fall.
But - the forbidden fruit may be the metaphor of the fruit of the womb, i.e. sex and production of offspring.
