RGB Basics, research in Computer Graphics
During my three decades of painting with oils and acrylics on canvases, I studied the Red Yellow Blue color scheme extensively. To me, they were the three basic energies, the holy trinity of the visible. However, as I delved deeper into the world of computer graphics, I discovered another trio of primary colors that are just as important: Red, Green, and Blue.
The RGB Basics series is my tribute to this new trinity. These computer graphics were created over the last two decades and represent my studies of joy on the Red Green Blue spectrum. The light that forms these colors is at the heart of every digital image we see on our screens. Through the RGB Basics series, I explore the beauty and power of these colors, and how they can be used to create stunning images that evoke a range of emotions.
Each RGB Basics image is a product of meticulous experimentation, testing, and refinement. I wanted to create graphics that are vibrant, dynamic, and evoke a sense of movement and energy. Through the use of mathematical algorithms, I am able to manipulate light in a way that produces stunning results. As I continue to create new works in the RGB Basics series, I am constantly reminded of the power and beauty of light. It is a force that can illuminate the darkest corners of our world and inspire us to see things in new ways. Through my art, I hope to share this sense of wonder and discovery with others.
